The Little Stranger

I just finished The Little Stranger (2009) by Sarah Waters. Really well done!

I had put this on my TBR after watching a talk on Fantastic Forms in Gothic Literature by John Mullan. The novel was written in 2009 and events in it take place in the 1940s, so maybe not the typical gothic novel. But that was Mullan's point; people are still writing this stuff today!

Now I see that it was made into a movie in 2018. I'll have to watch out for it.
