La Ronde

I just watched La Ronde (1950), directed by Max Ophüls. Magnifique!

The screenplay is by Jacques Natanson and Max Ophüls. It is based the play Reigen (1897), by Arthur Schnitzler. It takes place in Vienna in the 1890s, but the dialogue is French (signs and things are in German).
