La Strada
Last night, I watched La Strada (1954), directed and co-written by Frederico Fellini. Brilliant!
It is so nice to look at that I think I would have enjoyed it even without subtitles, though I don't speak Italian.
The dialogue is pretty great, though. Here's the opening scene in English

Mother says to come home right away.
There's a man here.
He came on a big motorcycle.
He says Rosa is dead.
They certainly don't waste any time!
