Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

I just finished Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2004) by Susanna Clarke. Fantastic!

This was another recommendation I picked up from the Mega Dickens Readalong. I love book clubs!

It is so much fun to read! You won't even mind how long it is (it is very long). It's like an historical novel, in that it takes place in the 19th century. But it's also like science fiction or fantasy, in that some unreal things are real. I guess some folks call it "alternative history." In any case, it's really fun.
