Last night, I watched "Out of the Past" (1947), starring Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Kirk Douglas, and Rhonda Fleming. So noir!

They smoke so much in this movie! I thought maybe everybody smoked like that in 1947, but apparently this movie is somewhat famous for all the smoking. I haven't smoked in like 25 years, and I was ready to light up.

They remade this movie in 1984 as Against All Odds. Both Jane Greer and Paul Valentine, who played in "Out of the Past," appeared in other roles in "Against All Odds."
